Why Elementor Sites Get Slow (And How to Fix Them)
Elementor is powerful, but many Elementor sites score poorly on PageSpeed. The issue is usually configuration — not Elementor itself.
Common Elementor speed killers
Loading Google Fonts on every page, unused Elementor experiments, too many widgets per page, no caching, oversized images, and conflicting optimization plugins running duplicate minification.
Elementor settings to check
Enable Improved Asset Loading and Inline Font Icons. Disable unused widgets under Elementor → Settings → Features. Use Elementor’s CSS print method “Internal Embedding” only when needed for caching compatibility.
Caching for Elementor + WooCommerce
Exclude cart, checkout, my-account, and admin-ajax from full-page cache. Use object caching (Redis) on busy stores. LiteSpeed, WP Rocket, and FlyingPress all work with Elementor when configured correctly.
When to rebuild instead of patch
If you fight speed for months with 80+ plugins, migrating key pages to Gutenberg or a lightweight custom theme often costs less long-term than endless tuning.
